Digital Mondays: Vortragsreihe zur Digitalisierung

The digitization is changing our living environment and the planning and construction industry in many dimensions. With the new lecture and workshop series “Digital Mondays,” the Architects’ Chamber aims to engage in compact format discussions with experts and interested chamber members about the impact digital processes can have not only on planning with Building Information Modeling (BIM) but also on other areas such as urban planning (“Smart City”), production (components from 3D printers), and Artificial Intelligence (automated measurement and planning).

Discussions in small groups and the combination of knowledge transfer and communication platforms make it possible to cover various practical topics and involve science and research.

The “Digital Mondays” of the Architects’ Chamber NRW start on March 2, 2020, at the House of Architects in Düsseldorf, and then continue on the following Mondays (March 9, 23, and 30, 2020) at 6:30 p.m. The planned topics include “Recipes for BIM in the Office,” “Machine Vision and Design,” “Digital Fabrication,” and “Smart Cities.”

The new format allows participants to engage interactively with themes in a relaxed atmosphere and encourages exchange and networking between experienced architects and young planners.
