“Architect’s Notebook” by DAMDI / South Korea

Our transition from non-digital to digital workflows has been documented in “Architect’s Notebook,” a publication by DAMDI in South Korea. The book poses the question, “What is a notebook to you?” to 24 international architectural offices, each sharing insights through sketches, digital renderings, and ideas on paper. Many architects consider their notebooks to be essential tools of the trade. Filling blank pages with quick notes and freehand drawings helps them recall crucial insights, develop designs, and eventually bring those concepts to life. Alongside showcasing pages from numerous notebooks, the book delves into the various perspectives on the function and significance of this enduring object in contemporary architectural practice.
